An accidental reel-to-reel archive find, supposedly erased out of memory and material history. This is "19 Gadi Pirms Sākuma" captured in a spontaneous session in 1988 while preparing for their performance at West Berlin's „Transmission Festival”. It contains studio-recorded live takes with some early versions of their songs that later got published in the self-titled album, as well as a few titles never issued to the public before.
„19 Gadi Pirms Sākuma” was a seminal Latvian late 1980s, early 1990s Avantgarde/ Art Pop band, originally composed of members of NSRD (Inguna Černova) and Dzeltenie Pastnieki (Viesturs Slava, Ilgvars Rišķis) together with Daiga Mazvērsīte, created with the idea to last one performance, providing a soundtrack for an art exhibition curated by Hardijs Lediņš and Juris Boiko (NSRD). This performance left an impression on a couple of spectator West Berlin journalists and the rest is history...
