“Agonija” was composed, recorded and mixed entirely by Alvils Lūsis at his home studio in 1990, where he spent countless hours learning and utilizing analog production techniques. Due to not having sequencers or a production studio, all song structuring had to be done by hand using two reel to reel recorders, building sequences and arrangements from pieces of tape, doing overdubs and also applying tape loop and sound effect experiments. All of this resulted in well-planned pieces of unpretentious, yet quite avant-garde dark-synth wave music, forming the “Agonija” album.
